i was absolutely appalled when i found a 'charming' single double bed instead of a real one, and the pillows were harder than concrete, how cozy. i also found the lack of a second room key to be so quaint, because who could possibly want privacy? i almost gave a good review but just couldn’t.

After spending a night here for our trip to Alton Towers, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the family room was. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with ample towels and a cozy bed. The location had a McDonald's nearby for late-night snacks. that's always a plus in my book.

Had issues with the air conditioning that kept running even after lights were out, and no phone in the room to contact reception was a hassle. Some complaints from other guests about noise disturbances from above and shoddy Wi-Fi made it hard to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom did get a bit steamy without proper ventilation, which was annoying. while there were some perks, these little annoyances added up.
